Bid Information:

Sealed bids for Olive Branch Animal Shelter will be received by the City of Olive Branch at 9200 Pigeon Roost Road, Olive Branch, Mississippi 38654 until 2:00 P.M. local time on September 23, 2024 and thereafter will be opened and publicly read.

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the City Clerk, City of Olive Branch, 9200 Pigeon Roost Road, Olive Branch, Mississippi 38654. Each envelope must be plainly marked on the outside as “Olive Branch Animal Shelter” and must bear on the outside the date the bid is to be opened. Opened bids will be presented for consideration at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Olive Branch.

Bidders are cautioned that the City Clerk receives the Daily U.S. Mail at varying times from day to day. Bids will be time-stamped upon receipt according to City Clerk's office.

Project Description:

Summary Project Description: The project involves the selective demolition of limited existing site features as well as the construction of a new one-story animal shelter building. The new building will include animal kennels for both short term holding/isolation as well as long-term holding while animals await adoption. In addition to the kennels are a series of support spaces including an exam room with pharmacy closet, laundry room, food storage and preparation rooms, sally port, and various storage rooms. The animal care components are supported by offices with break room and a visitation room for animal adoption. The project also includes the construction of new site amenities including sidewalks, vehicle drive lanes and parking spaces, fenced play yards, and landscaping with irrigation. The new building is approximately 6,550 square feet. The project includes all site work as well as construction of the new building. The Work is based upon separate Drawings and Specifications and General Conditions of the Construction Contract contained in the Project Manual compiled by designshop, pllc for the following portions of the design. The Work will be performed under a contract for construction between the Contractor as identified within the Agreement and General Conditions of the Contract under a fixed cost contract with the Owner in accordance with Conditions of Contract. The Work is based upon separate portion of Construction Documents enumerated in Document 000110 - Table of Contents and Document 000115 - List of Drawings .
